Default Random Arena Trash

On any given day in the American Districts of the Random Arenas, you can hear the vilest, sickest junk you'll ever want to hear from anyone.

And they go on and on with it, the same people can, for hours at a time. It can be sexual, racist, profane, anti-Semetic, any-Christian, anti-Islamic, anti-Hindu, anti-Buddhist, he list goes on and on. Essential, everything is fair game with them, as if it were Happy Hour at the Comedey Club.

Now, I know all of you are going to say things about free speach, or that you think its cute to insult everything about everything for hours on end, but I don't want to hear it and I know others don't aswell.

I would like to ask you to PLEASE either
A. Report any such activity
B. If you are one of these people, please, form a guild for crappy sexually based comedy
C. If you are ANet, please enable 'PKing' in those districts :/

Some of us eat, you know.

If this ends up going to the sanitarium, I'll echo a previous suggestion that ANet should probably have a few GM's online to address these situations.

In the long run, it would probably require less time and labour to monitor and police in-game as opposed to checking logs and responding to reports.

I like this idea.

Allow for PK'ing when a user uses obscenities.

GMs sometimes hang out in RA for no reason. I recall seeing a chat log of someone that got booted real quick and yellow-green text (like Froggy's)...

I have never once seen a 'GM' in game.

If there are any in game, they sure don't do much of anything too noticable to the public.

Plenty of idiots saying 'I am arenanet I will get you banned' and then you remind them about impersonating arenanet members and the eula and whoa, offline mode ahoy!

and regarding the RA stuff: I enjoyed it when I went, drilled the idiots to the ground with their own stupidity, and then realized that RA was all they had left. They got kicked out of HA, they got kicked out of PvE, so I let them be.

Greenish-yellow text. Users can't fake that. Oh, if I could just find that post in the Screenshot Exposition section of the forum with that image...

I just leave !Local chat off when I go into RA. :|

I know gaile's text color & the frog's, but I've never actually -seen- it myself other than those 2.

I'll start bitching about how some racial minority is the downfall of western civilization, maybe I can see some then -heads off to RA-

You mean this screenshot?

http://i1.tinypic.com/oa1w9j.jpg

I had it saved on my hdd, the thread is closed in the screenshot section, but i took the pic and put it together while editing out the names.

This is the only screenshot of a Anet staffer i know of to show up in CA to "referee" per say.

My guildmate has reported before that he was supposedly contacted by a GM regarding a report he sent (forgot what it was about) but i doubt he ss'ed it.

Long story short. Report bad behavior, but dont get overzealous. I've been banned before over some things taken out of context. I have two friends who curse each other out in local chat, but they are really good friends and thats just how they talk o.o;

Having 3 GM's switching through distericts could do a lot of good.

There really is a lot of garbage in the RA districts and I have reported a few people who repeatedly used racial slurs but nothing has happend to them (I put them on my friends list for a week and everyday they were there)

I was told later on that they don't ban for first offenses...what the heck? One guy kept saying n*gger this and n*gger that, and then proclaiming hitler to be god and then proceeds to call all asians "slanteyes" What the hell does it take to get banned then?

So, sadly, I've given up trying to do any good. If ANET won't do anything then I won't waste my time. I just click off my local chat.

Happens in Europe too. Usually in District 1 (the fullest) you'll find a few idiots arguing and shouting insults in caps, and a continuous flow of people that aren't involved saying 'stfu noob' and stuff, encouraging the idiots even more.

... with the only difference that a Comedy Club is actually funny, while the guys at RA are just sad.

I honestly have no idea why A-net just can't send in a GM from time to time and just ban them for good. You could ban at least 20 accounts in any district in RA at any given time. The comment from above that RA is a kind of GW's slum, is actually quite true.

I wish I'd know why A-net has let it come that far - the fact that next to all (*resists to use way stronger words than this*) trash talkers GW has to offer are mass assembling in RA, is pretty well known.

Comedy Club may be a bit "light and lame", but you'd get banned for the language needed to describe them more accurately.

There must be quite a few GMs in though. I recall somebody betting $20 that there were no admins around then some yellow text came up saying you owe the guy he was betting with $20. Funny, funny stuff.

But yes, more policing please.

People suck, but they can say what they want (I know you expected to hear this). Just turn off local, or not even read it.

Turning off local does wonders in many places.

Ok, so its ok to improach upon the rights of anyone except trash-talking filth? Why should I have to turn off my local chat becuase some pervert wants to talk about the size of his reproductive organs while 15 other people giggle?
